"Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me His own...but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus"

Hello There, Stranger...

For a blog that's supposed to tell people about my life in Dallas, I sure haven't written many posts since I moved here! My bad! So where do I even begin?!

For starters, I've made some pretty awesome friends through work and through church.

I have also had the opportunity to volunteer with a wonderful animal rescue organization called Paws in the City! Please take a moment to check it out! I have fostered and worked with so many of these sweet animals that are just looking for loving homes. This is the sweet girl that I was blessed to foster from last July to the end of October. Her name is Allie and she was adopted just before Halloween!

I've seen my family a lot more than I thought I would. Sometimes, it's on a computer screen via Skype, but I still think it counts! They all came for Thanksgiving and my mom and I were even able to go to the Cowboys game!
I went home for Christmas and then got to see my parents a bunch in February!

Anyways...here are some other odds and ends:
  • I was baptized on February 19, 2012
  • I ran the Cowtown half marathon on February 26, 2012
  • I have officially become a Covenant Member of The Village Church
  • I have begun training to become a veterinary technician (one step closer to my dream!)
  • The Lord is continuing to be gracious and merciful toward me as I step out on my own...but more on that later :)
Lam 3:22The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end
